Message from the Riverside Medical Practice

We have received confirmation from Kent and Medway CCG that the Covid vaccination hub for patients registered with our practice will be Rochester Healthy Living Centre, Delce Road, Rochester.

Despite us and the CCG making strong representations to NHS England, we were unable to obtain approval to be designated as an Astra-Zeneca only site. We know that that will come as a disappointment to many local residents.

However, we are pleased that we have some certainty now in this matter and look forward to booking patients in, starting at the end of next week subject to vaccine supply.

GP-led vaccination centres such as the one at Rochester are staffed using existing staff from local practices. We will therefore be supplying staff on a rota basis. Whilst we will make every effort to maintain service levels in the practice, you may experience longer turnaround times on occasions. We would like to apologise in advance for this and will try and minimise the impact.

Halling Parish Council Office

Due to the current situation and until government guidelines are changed the Parish Council office will be closed for the foreseeable future to protect members of the public and Parish Council employees.

Also in the interests of public safety, all Face to Face Parish Council meetings which would ordinarily be open to the public are cancelled until further notice.

Parish Council meetings will be held as Virtual Meetings using either ZOOM or Microsoft Teams.

The Parish Council are asking for the parishioners of Halling to bear with the Parish Council at this crucial time until we get through the situation that we have and to follow the guidelines that we are being given by the government.
